Ricky qualified in 1998 from the University Central Venezuela where he gained a first class honours degree and he was awarded his first degree in Lisbon University a year later. After a period working in private practice in Madeira, his ancestral home, he decided to move to London, where he has been living and working since 2002. (He’s now a fiercely proud Londoner!)
With a special interest in orthodontics, Ricky has taken part in numerous training programmes in the UK and internationally and is currently working towards an MSc in orthodontics. He has extensive experience of orthodontic cases, working with children and adults using traditional braces as well as Invisalign.
Opening Smile Up Dental in 2015, Ricky knows the importance of combining excellent and professional clinical care with a relaxed and straightforward approach — a philosophy shared by all the team at Smile Up.
