Dentist with Special Interest in Paediatric Dentistry
Graduating in 2000, Auri gained her BDS degree from the Faculty of Dentistry at Universidad de Los Andes in Venezuela. She initially worked in general practice and completed a three-year postgraduate specialist training in paediatric dentistry at Universidad Central de Venezuela Clinical Hospital, graduating in 2005.
This area of dentistry is her particular enduring passion; especially work with nervous children and those with special needs. A mother of two young children herself, her natural empathy and ability to connect with children is immediately obvious: she really understands the importance of combining quality diagnosis and dental treatment with a welcoming child-friendly environment.
Auri has also undertaken further studies in endodontics and sedation. She’s a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry, and the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, and completed a masters degree in endodontics at Universita Tor Vergata, Rome in 2016. She’s now studying for her masters degree in paediatric dentistry at UCL, London.
In between the demands of being the mum of two young children and her University studies, Auri loves to travel and experience different cultures and also finds time to jog.
