The Benefits Of Porcelain Crowns

Do you have a decayed, damaged, cracked or chipped tooth? A porcelain crown is a highly aesthetic solution to the problem and here at Smile Up, we take a great deal of pride in the skill and artistry involved.

Natural-looking result

A crown is the closest thing to actual tooth enamel, as the porcelain emulates the gloss-like look and is matched in shade to fit in with your existing teeth. Porcelain can be coloured to any shade with ease, and produces the most aesthetic result.

Comfort

Porcelain crowns are custom made for your smile and can be shaped and sculpted to be in keeping with your tooth structure. This is achieved by taking accurate impressions of your teeth, providing us with an exact mould of your teeth from which to work with.

No disruption to your normal routine

Whilst you wait for your crown to be made up in the dental lab (this generally takes around 2 weeks) we will fit you with a temporary crown which you can chew with as normal.

Durable

Porcelain crowns can be expected to last for up to 15 years with the correct care; they can be cared for in the same way as your natural teeth, making them a favourable option over non-porcelain restorations which can sometimes require special maintenance.

Restore confidence in your smile

Un unhealthy-looking smile can leave you feeling reluctant to smile and affect your confidence in the long term. The process behind getting a porcelain crown is straightforward and minimally-invasive and having a more aesthetic smile will bring benefits that extend beyond that which are merely aesthetic.

Fixed solution

Dental crowns are fixed to your teeth using a special adhesive material, so you can continue enjoying the foods you love without jeopardising your restoration. With more people than ever following strict/specific diets, this is a particularly appealable factor in 2018.
