Top 5 reasons To Choose Invisalign To Straighten Your Teeth

The Invisalign clear aligners system is a world leader in aligner technology, giving patients the option of a minimally-invasive and discreet treatment. Invisalign has now treated over 4 million patients worldwide and is a particular favourite of celebrities including Tom Cruise, Niall Horan and Kathy Bates, to name a few. Let’s explore some of the reasons why Invisalign has become a worldwide phenomenon in the world of orthodontic treatment.

Custom-created for you

The aligners are made from a clear thermoplastic material that is uniquely developed for your treatment plan. Your orthodontist here at Smile Up will take hassle-free digital impressions of your teeth in order to work from an accurate foundation. The clear aligners, which will need to be changed by you the patient at home every 2 weeks, will be an exact fit for your tooth structure.

Comfortable

As mentioned above, the aligners are created to be a perfect fit for you, matching the contours in your mouth as well as shape of how each tooth sits. The perfect fit ensures that the aligners are also comfortable, as does the thermoplastic material used to create them, a contrast to the brackets and archwires used when creating fixed brace types.

Removable

Invisalign clear aligners give patients a 2-hour window each day in which to brush and floss their teeth as well as eat. This flexibility means you have no restrictions on your diet, as in the case of fixed braces where certain foods will damage the brace and impact upon your oral hygiene. Furthermore, if you work in a client-facing environment, you can remove the aligners to carry out presentations, for example.

Easy maintenance

A further advantage that arises from the fact that the aligners are removable is that it is easy to maintain good oral hygiene. Fixed braces designs can make keeping your oral hygiene intact more of a challenge as the brace hardware creates tiny nooks and crannies in which food particles and unwanted bacteria can hide.
