Composite Bonding

Composite resin bonding a little like a cross between a filling and a veneer. It’s a fast and minimally invasive solution for chips, cracks, stains and other imperfections on your teeth that dentists love because as we add the composite bit by bit we can recreate a really accurate restoration so that no one will know it’s not your real tooth.

The composite is shaped and molded on your teeth and dries quickly, and unlike porcelain veneers, which can take multiple visits, composite resin bonding can be completed in one appointment.

What’s so good about composite bonding?

  • It only takes one visit
  • It looks great — no one will know it’s not natural

What to expect

Your tooth is prepared by lightly roughening the area, which usually won’t require an anaesthetic. Then the surface of your tooth is etched with gel, and bonding primers and resins are applied. Then the composite is applied bit by bit. Dental bonding composites come in a paste-like consistency so they can be easily sculpted to the proper shape.

We’ll match the pigments to your tooth colour and apply the composite in several layers to duplicate the depth of colour that natural teeth have. A high-intensity light is then used to harden it. That’s it. You get to walk out and show off your new killer smile, eat, and do all the other things you normally do when you’re not feeling self conscious about embarrassing teeth.
