Teeth Whitening
Teeth can lose their whiteness for a number of reasons such as diet, ageing, certain medications, smoking and trauma, but don’t worry, a brighter smile can be safely achieved with teeth whitening.
We use Philips Zoom! Whitening, which can be done here in the clinic to get your teeth 6 shades whiter in 60 minutes using an LED light to accelerate whitening. The other option is take home whitening which takes longer — you wear whitening trays for a few hours each day while you sleep or relax at home over about two weeks.
In-surgery whitening
This is also known as ‘laser’ bleaching and involves placing the whitening gel on your teeth and using a bright light to accelerate the whitening process. It takes an hour and is ideal for those who want noticeable results more quickly.
Home whitening
Impressions are taken of your teeth so customised whitening trays can be produced to fit comfortably. The trays are worn with a bleaching gel for a specified length of time each day, over a few weeks. After completing the course of treatment you will attend a follow up appointment to check your teeth have been successfully lightened. Teeth whitening does not provide permanent results but home whitening trays can be reused if a top-up is necessary.
