Coronavirus update from SmileUp Dental
As Clinical Director at SmileUp Dental, I wanted to write to you in view of the current and unprecedented global circumstances we face with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and to assure you that the whole team at SmileUp Dental are taking the situation extremely seriously.
Maintaining the highest standards of cleaning and disinfecting is within our normal way of operating and we continue to maintain these high standards and diligence.
At the outset of this situation we put in place additional measures to assure your continued safety as well as that of all members of our team. I can personally assure you that safety in all that we do is always a key and uncompromisable priority at SmileUp Dental; a principle at the very heart of how we operate. During this time we are additionally closely following the advice and guidance of the British Dental Association, Public Health England and the UK Government pertaining to COVID-19
When you contact the practice to make an appointment you will be asked some new questions about both your recent travel history as well as your recent medical history. You will also be asked on attending your appointment to reconfirm you answer to these questions, completing an additional screening questionnaire related to COVID-19 symptoms.
You will also be asked to hand-wash on arrival at the Practice and to also use the hand sanitation available for your use at our reception desk.
Mindful of advice on social distancing we are scheduling the diary to ensure we maintain numbers in the waiting room at any one time to a minimum.
Whilst we strive to continue to provide uninterrupted service during this time, school closures and related child care arrangements as well as changes to public transport are two practical challenges we are already working with as your Practice team. In the unfortunate event that we need to make changes that affect an appointment that you have scheduled, we will be touch with you as soon as we know there is an impact.
I will keep you updated of any further changes at SmileUp Dental as they occur and thank you for your continued support and understanding at this difficult time. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us and one of the team will be more than pleased to assist.
Finally, please stay safe and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Kind regards
Dr Ricky Sardinha
Clinical Director
